I think that Sony is unlikely to adopt motion controls and will stick to the traditional controller in an attempt to sell to the motion-hating super-hardcore. Some of the comments made about the Wii by Sony execs seem to support this idea. Microsoft, on the other hand, has shown with their Avatars that they are prepared to move somewhat in Nintendo's direction. I think that Microsoft will go motion next gen but Sony will flee to the super-harcore and go niche with traditional controls.
Wear gaudy colours or avoid display. It's all the same.
Be warned, I will use walls of polysyllables and complex clauses as a defence against lucid argument.
