Oh Million, any game that doesn't sell on any platform and in the cases we are talking about didn't sell because the game didn't sell the console.
If the Conduit did sell over a million copies and bla, the reasons would be one of two, either the audience existed or the game was so good (technical, business and marketing wise) the audience was created on that platform.
There is no cash cow, dev's who copy do that because they think along the lines you were expressing as reality, truth is they have to create their own demography, Nintendo created their own and still do, which is the reason dev's complained about Nintendos quality back in January 2008 being too high. These guys don't know how to make games, they just know how to make what they know is a game.... =P Again because they think that everyone fits in a certain compartment, can't blame them, most businessmen and programmers seem to think like that but not all, look at Nintendo, they don't think like that.
