Dude, that IS what the company is doing. They were more focused on the format war with the creation of the PS3. They might be focused on gaming now, but it's all m00t if the PS3 price is out of everyones reach.
Well then, you must know something I don't. Because with a $100 price cut, I don't see how they can improve the bottom line much. The software sales are still anemic, and that's where all the profit is supposed to come from.
There was a thread on the Sony section of this forum about it and I am talking about the 80Gb which is $599 not the 60GB as we and I already know is costing Sony out the ass. It is the reason it has been discontinued.
i still have yet to find anything on them reducing it to break about even, i find them trying to but no cigar, and would removing emtion engine etc really reduce by 200 bucks?
