I don't see what there is to be mad about, World of Goo is a fantastic game that any non-Wii owner should be jealous of. I see no reason that it must be part of some kind of conspiracy, instead of just an award that WoG won fair and square and fully deserved in every sense of the word.

I don't own a wii and I own that game. ;P

@Frybread

Well pc had quite nice goty-nominees, I for one liked every one of those. Well not warhammer, haven't played that. For wii nominees, I never cared for any of them. Maybe it is the case with ign. Did they left some highly reviewed game out of goty-nominees for wii or what are you complaining about?

@zleep

If you call me a troll, is it ok if I also insult you?

@Twestern: If this isn't trolling, I don't know what is.  He's acting like his opinion about games he's never played on a system he has a clear bias against is relevant.  His comments are specifically designed to encite arguments.  He has no real interest in this thread beyond that.  He has no Wii, hasn't played any of these games (and if he tries to play the "I played it at a friend's house" card, there's no way he could have played it enough to be qualified for this discussion), and he's trying to talk crap about them to piss off already upset forum members.  This is classic troll; you just have to read a little harder on this one (I know you're busy with all the reports and don't have time to analyze the relationship between every post).

Did you miss the part where he said he owned the game?  It's on the PC too.

And as I said, he's being civil and respectful considering half the thread is attacking him.  Why shoud you or I care if he doesn't agree with your opinion?  If I see him actually trolling, believe me, I will do something about it, but him just disagreeing with you is not trolling.

Now, please drop the issue.  If you really feel he's trolling you can report him again and hope someone other than me sees it and they think the same you do but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I think you missed my point.  He owns no Wii, but claimed that he never cared for any of the games (World of Goo is not the only game on the nominations list).  I didn't know it was possible to care one way or another for a game you didn't play.  My point is not about World of Goo.  I have no objection to him talking about it.  I just think that it's stuff like those comments above that makes it clear that he's got this idea of Wii sucks (or Wii games suck) and is going to throw it about this thread without caring about things like facts or experiences playing games.  He's not be a retard, granted.  He's not flaming everything in sight, true.  However, you don't have to do either of those things to be a troll.  He's being a pretty polite troll, but he's still just trying to start arguments because he dislikes Wii games.  You could argue that he's really just giving his opinion and no one's agreeing with it, but you can't give an opinion (or, at least, an opinion that is recognized on this site--see section 4 of the rules, bullet point 2) without having anything to back it up.

I know you said drop it, but I just wanted to make what I was saying clear, since something was miscommunicated the first time.  If you still feel like that's not trolling in light of this, I'll move on.

Edit: Analogy might help.  Say you were watching an awards show for the top football player of the year, and your mom walks in as the nominees are being shown.  Now, she knows little to nothing about football, but begins to make comments like "Player A, B, and C suck" and "Player D totally deserves the award."  This might annoy you, especially if you felt different from her.  You might even start an argument with her.  Now, if she continues in this argument, there's nothing it can be attributed to beyond her wanting to argue.  She knows nothing about the subject and the winner doesn't really affect her.
