UPDATE: I talked with my friend. Not everything is lost (threatening someone with a knife works really well). He said that there is a six month warranty at the place he bought it. All I need to do is get the receipt (He already gave me that) and they will fix it.
As for some of the assholes kind users that posted here, I have some things to say:
1 - I trust my friend. If he would scam me I wouldn`t refer to him as a friend.
2 - Try to do a little research before demanding someone gets the death penalty. In the 3rd world finding a non modded console is as hard as finding smart people on video game forums. You can find it, but it is not worth it. A Elite goes for 400 bucks in the US, importing it (legal means) would cost 900 dollars (without mail included). One can find it at stores for prices above 800 dollars (pros only and imported). One could buy the official Xbox 360 (pro) that launched in my country for almost 1000 dollars (but if you do so, you will never acess Live). Or you could do like my friend that bought that modded Elite with 2 controllers (all the others comes with only 1), 10 games of your choice (the others come with crap like Too Human or Kung Fu Panda) and a 6 month warranty for 750 (you can find the same deal on 20 GB models for600 bucks). If someone bought the console at the usual stores, he would have to pay 100 extra bucks for the mod, 100 for the games and 70 for the extra controller. What I mean even for those that don`t support piracy (like me), it is a better deal getting modded consoles here. The advantage of the warranty is that they will fix it in less than a week, the warranty at stores (1 year) will only redirect you to MS and you may lose more than a month. If had a choice I would get a non modded console, because I only buy used games, rent them or borrow from friends. The problem is that it is much more expensive.
3 - The console is not used. Stop being stupid. It was manufactured this year. Like someone else said they have to ship it to retail, then someone here import it (let`s say retail 2), then they mod it, my friend buy it and I get it as prize. That leaves a shot time for someone else to own it a play the shit out it. Also if it was a used console in a new shell, why the hell the guys from store would give a warranty? If they expect it to break they would sell it in the black market. As crazy as it sounds, the goverment here is okay with stores selling pirated products (not officially) as long as they pay their taxes. When you mod a console you even get a receipit and a warranty. My friend did not buy stolen goods.
4 - I know that Xbox 360 fanboys (not onwers or fans) are the most insecure of all. When someone gets a RROD it is their fault. Either because they didn`t buy a Falcon or because theywere dumb enough to buy a second hand console. When someone claims that had a RROD on a console manufactured after 2007 it is a lie. So I got it on a Elite in 13 days? What is the big deal? We all know that 360 are as stable nitroglycerin. I can post pictures of it for those that doubted me. But I will only do so if these same guys agree to change theirs avatars to RROD avatars for a month. If after accepting my terms, I can`t prove it with a photo you can permaban me.
