You think the 360 will break 35million consoles? I assure you that it won't. PS3 is an investment and investments are not profitable short term. Sony clearly explained this and it is the reason that Sony generates such high revenue because they are constantly expanding. Nintendo are being profitable but they are not expanding their company like Sony is doing. I might also point out that Sony's losses in gaming are becoming less and less, they will be profitable by this time next year and recover the losses. It's not a major concern. Your last point is absurd. Expecting a $600 system with no games in it's first year to compete with a $300 system that had the PS2 lineup is insane. I think it's common knowledge that the PS3 is under performing but it's being hyperboled out of proportion by 360 and Wii fans. |
...... at the current moment sony is losing what 200 dollars a ps3, your telling me by next year they are going to get +200 a ps3? And im guessing that also that includes dropping the price to what 399 or 299? that is complete crap. They did make an investment it was to trojan horse the blue ray into the homes, and its not working as well as they hoped. Lets just say (likely wont) that blue ray loses this format war.... what then. Investments do not always come back in the end, they are risky, and even sony will have a bad investment.
With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B
