Sony got a much better boost from the price cuts it looks like. M$ did not cut their best value, the Elite, very much at all. $30 is pathetic.

Not necessarily. There are usually FOUR 360 sku's in the amazon top 100 now. Premium with HDMI, Premium without HDMI, Elite, and now Halo 3 special edition. Sometimes the Core even floats into the top 100 which would make 5. If you combined all those, no telling where 360 would rank. There is only the one PS3 sku. The 80 GB PS3 isn't in the top 100.

 

Plus, amazon had the PS3 #1 for most of July and yet it didn't even outsell 360 in NPD. So if that's any idication we can say Amazon overrates PS3 sales.

yea so basically M$ enjoys confusing the heck out of their customers with 5 (soon to be 6?) different SKUs while Sony's has nothing majorly different except that theres 20GB more in the 80GB model.
