What's the Worst Story in a Game IYO?

for all its phenomenol combat, ninja gaiden (sigma was the only one i played) has a horrible story line.  everyone is either a ninja, a soldier who is a ninja, or a monster.  then to top it all off you could tell the only plot twist about ten minutes into the game.

 

I admit I can't understand the sentiment in bold.

Ninja Gaiden's story doesn't get much better in the sequel, in that it doesn't get less stupid. I guess it gets more awesome in the Ninja Gaiden sense? Who's to say!
