Pointing your wiimote at the screen is in no way more comfortable than holding a controller in your lap. Now the Zap gun is possibly more what I'd be going for, but they messed that up by puting the nunchuck on the thing too.
I played wii sports for a month, I got used to it. In all likelyhood my not having fun with it probably had more to do with my dislike of sports games rather than the wiimote, which were obviously better than playing such a game with a traditional controller.
Until they do the wiimote controller thing better, ill stick with my traditional controller, and turning the wiimote sideways is crap.
You make the point that its better to point and click in for menu navigation, but in reality its slower unless you've mastered the wiimote. If they released a new controller with fallout 3/4 on the wii, id possibly go for that.
