However, with the exception of DS, gaming is dieing in Japan.
Compared to same week last year:

Wii and PS3 are about 60% of 2007

PS2 is about 30%
PSP about 40%

X360 is the only one to improve, but only slightly and it's still not significant.

DS is managing about 90% of last year.

 I repeat...

And I wouldn't even say the other consoles got a boost really at all.  PS3 and 360 have posted those numbers the past few weeks..the Wii had been posting around 50kish, and suddenly shoots up to over 90k.

That last week is what is equivalent to this 90k week.

It seems a similar picture this year to me, just at a lower level for PS3 and Wii, and slightly higher for X360
