Well I'm not sure about online gaming, although Japanese love to play games social with friends. It seems that the biggest issue which Famitsu had with the online part, is the missing microphone option. Concerning the Facebook look alike and then I can only speak of what I've experienced with My Space, that ain't that big in Japan comparing to the US My Space for instance. So yes, I guess you're right that stuff is far more popular in the West.

Not having Mic support is a bit of a letdown, but not enough to kill the game for me. Hopefully this gets patched.

When I play JRPG's though I play single player and that is it. I still think this game ends up being very good. Giant battles? Who doesn't love that?

They said it is similar to older L5 RPG's, so if it is anywhere near DC2, I am happy.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)
