@DMJ

Not really a valid point. There were plenty of RPGs on the GC over the PS2 and they might have put those JRPGs on the 360 to appeal to the West too. It hasn't worked well though, and the bulk of JRPG announcements are going to the Wii (which the Wii can sell) :P

@outlaw

I doubt it. The game only looks good because of the art style. Technically it isn't impressive. I'm positive the Wii can do VCs graphics.

Well, the (very, very) occasional framerate drops tells me other wise. It has only dropped twice in my campaign (37 hours) but for that to happen on the PS3........

@ Benga

Well, it is. Shaky hands would kill your aim in this game, being that you don't get to re-aim after you shoot.

The only framerate drop was due to the grass... fix the grass and your fine.

Framerate drops happen a lot on the PS3, usually due to sloppy programming.

Aside from which... why couldn't aiming be handled the same way it is in the actual game.

just tie it to the analog stick if you needed.

Then, what would the benefit of the Wii version?

Better sales.  A port being cheaper even after developing a new engine.

Likely added content.

Also, I heard the development costs for the game were actually pretty high since they developed an all new state of the art HD engine for it.

Really it would of been better had the game just came out on Wii to begin with.  It likely would of been a better game in general or they would of had money to advertise since they wouldn't of needed to spend on the HD Graphics.

I mean.... I don't know if you've noticed but Graphics aren't usually high on the list of a SRPG fans list.

I mean we're used to having Ogre Battle SNES style pudgey character graphics... for games out even in this generation!  (Disgaea 3.)

Unless a game is heavily physics based or has a strong online component  most games would probably benefit from being on the wii.

Even games like Killzone 2 which are supposed to be awesome... lack options like splitscreen and co-op... and online splitscreen.

What's up with that?   Spending less on graphics to put in features people care about... and will give them value past 5 minutes of "wow this looks cool!" would of been great.
