he is saying this an old built and not what he saw last week at santa monica.

I think Sony is going for the opposite of Killzone 2.They showed something insane and everyone criticized them with KZ2 .Even now that KZ2 looks that insane ,reviewers will neat pick it to death,,,,so i think sony showed something to set the expectations low and then they will come out in the next event with jaw shattering graphics to impress us more.

cause i just can't accept that santa monica helping GG to improve the graphics of Killzone 2, yet their own game looks worse than kz2

That doesn't make any sense.  So Sony showed you a visually dumbed down version of GoW3 so folks can set their expectations lower than they normally would had they released the "real" trailer?  Yeah right, dude.  Jaffe hyped it up way too much and it doesn't live up - at least right now.

Why doesn't it? Jaffe already said that he wanted Sony to show off some better footage, so everyone wouldn't think he was bullshitting them.

And if the game is still a ways off, then Sony is doing the right thing by not getting everyone up in the air over it, just yet.

EDIT: I just read this on the GT forums (credit to gunray2), and is actually a very good argument. When Sony announced Killzone 2, the game became burdened with huge expectations in terms of graphics. So Sony put a lot of money into Killzone 2, and to many, Killzone 2 is right now the best looking console game.

But if God of War III were to take that crown from the head of Killzone 2, Killzone 2 would lose some hype, and potentially sales, something Sony would want to avoid. So what do they do, they bring the masses what they want, gameplay from God of War III, but they give it to them from an old build, so that Killzone 2 can keep the "Best graphics on a console"-crown.

To me, this is a very well thought out argument and could very well be why what we have seen of GoW3 has not blown everyone out of the water.
