Most Important Game Companies..and how the industry has changed.

I'm assuming the developer lists for each era are ordered by level of importance? Can you give a little explanation for each list? I think Ubi-Soft should be a bit higher in the "Sony Fails the industry" era, and probably Capcom a bit lower. The older ones I'd have to think about more... either way, I'd love to see some reasonings as to why you chose those particular companies.
