WOW! You've got no idea what you're talking about. Take 1 billion and divide it by 25 million you get $40 per unit. Not only do you not know elementary math, you don't know shit about financial statements:

MS set aside $1 billion to cover the extended warranty charges. It's not $1 billion lost, once the end of the coverage period arrives they will be able to credit whatever is left of the $1 billion back to they're income.
