It's not Square Enix who got arrogant, it's Sony who got arrogant this gen.
Kaz Hirai became megalomaniac with statements like "the PS3 will sell 10 million units by brand name alone" and "people will get a 2nd job just to be able to buy a PS3".
Kaz stopped the Sony tradition of feeding Square Enix with all that cash to secure exclusives.
But Square Enix said "F U" and chose MS money instead lol.
