Blizzard won't do that. They are one of the very few pc gaming devs that have mac versions available the day the pc version releases... if they develop a wow console client it'll be ps3/360 - and the only reason it won't be on the wii will be available storage. |
precisely. I'm not sure Blizzard would even develope a console game this gen or even ever. They have bought console developers, organized teams, destructed teams, reorganized teams, "hinted" at console ports/releases and still have nothing to show for the console arena. They are fairly random and secretive however, so they could surprise us. D3 port was the last rumor that surfaced with blizzard in the console world.
On the note of MMO's and consoles, you have to wonder if it would even be a good idea to begin with. Most people who play MMO's do so on a PC and most people interested in them have a PC. Considering their is a larger audience in PC land, PC remains the target audience. It's also about a billion times easier to support on PC. Lastly, could you imagine playing a consoled version of WoW without a keyboard and a mouse with at least 10 programable buttons? The only console that comes close to offering this is the PS3. Console blizzard style MMO's would not be a good idea, but again it could surprise.
