The two systems are in very different positions this far into their lifecycles. The PS3 sells faster than the PSX did, to be honest the PS3 sells quite amazingly for a 600 dollar game console. The PS3 entry price is double that of the PS2 at the time. The PS3 sells at least as well as the much praised XBox 360 did for the same lenght of availability. As game projects have become bigger, spanning more development time and larger development teams it's not strange the current games library doesn't significantly push the hardware potential. IMO wait until Killzone 2, Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid are out before making a premature judgement. Many future PS3 games are amongst NeoGAF's and Japanese Famitsu's most wanted game list. There's more than enough time left to release more demanding games and introduce pricedrops. The PS3 really isn't doing that bad at all. |
You know there's a quote button under each person's post, right? You can hit that and don't have to type @username everytime.
To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.
