Seems like a bit of a exaggeration. Either that or PS3 and 360 developrs have been really lazy.
I still perfer some different art styles myself. For example the little midget FF characters over Final Fantasy 7 and up. I still wouldn't say they look better or could stand up graphically. They just look better to me.
