Your argument is no different than the politicians and censorship groups that see a videogame playing child commit a violent act and blame it on the games, as opposed to the person.

What you really should have titled it is "Japanese nationalism is a major part of why the Japanese market is down". That puts the blame exactly where it belongs, with the consumer.
