They decided to change the weps from ut2004 which were perfectly balanced, sans link gun and bio rifle. The whole idea of dying from 1 rocket hit, even if to the face is against everything UT stood for. It basically adds the feature that makes all other FPSes fail, if someone sneaks up behind you have 0 chance of survival (especially true now since you don't fly through a level without a dodge-jump), that's not skill in any way shape or form, that's just blind luck. Then they completely ruined the Flak cannon (WTF is up with alt-fire trajectory to begin with), and there seems to be a delay in the shock-rifle primary fire, I come from 85% accuracy in UT2004 down to about 45% in UT3, there's definitely some delay or somethign which interferes. Minigun got nerfed, primary fire is weaker and alt-fire is now useless. Sniper I like, not much you can do about a hit-scan weapon, other than add an initial delay or something. Biorifle and the Link Gun definitely got the buff they need now, but that's the only plus they do have. Weapon feel has made up about 50% of UT games, UT2003 sucked because of it and UT2004 rocked because of it. Apparently they didn't learn anything between the two releases because they STILL fucked up badly on UT3. Maybe UT3.5 will fix all that crap, as well as all the crap that comes from the fact there's a PS3 version making it look almost like a cheap port for the PC (wtf is with the shitty UI?).
