BengaBenga said: Really, price is definitely a part of the equation, but not the most important one. Wii kills the 360, despit it being more expensive now. PS2 completely obliterated the Gamecube at a much higher price. People won't buy a console of $250 (which is for most people still a significant amount of money) because it's the cheapest. They pay $250 because they think it's worth it and they want it.

That's very true, the GC didn't sell at $99 with the complete console history of The Legend of Zelda (including Ocarina of Time) included. And if the Wii is GC 1.5 (and I'm not saying it is, just quoting the trolls), then why has it sold for $250? It was always the mass appeal of the controller and immersive experiences it provides, like Wii Sports. Price is always a factor, never the only factor.

To put that in perspective, the Gamecube did not sell when it was the same price as an Eye Toy. And GC only sold 22 million consoles while sony's Eye Toy Accessory sold almost 11 million units for the PS2 alone. The experience generates the sales.

In PS3 vs 360, the experience is similar, so price did/does play a factor. To gamers and developers. And to gamers and developers interested in HD experience, online play is definitely a factor, and in this area 360 wins hands down.

BAM! There it is!
