It won't compare to those other games in terms of detail, it's not that kind of style. But I think IGM means that it will stand up with other games in terms of just overall looking great.
Mario won't spurt blood or have advanced ragdoll physics after all. But the game sounds like it will look a lot better than Mario Sunshine.
