I'm real hardgamers as well, and I endorse this thread (Didn't read past that first sentence, was laughing too hard at the awesome terminology).
... (Okay so I actually did read it) I think you're getting into a big mess with this topic, and it's really not so simple. There's really so much to explain about it all, I don't even know where to begin, so I won't.
