$ony screwed up because when they launched a console at $500/$600 (with $500 barely available) they launched for the Hardcore market only because of the price. This may have worked if they had launched a year before the competitors, but they didnt. Since the 360 had already launched and established a base with hardcore gamers and had titles for not only the hardcore when the PS3 launched this made the competition that much tougher. Thrown in the Wii as the casual juggernaut and all that was left was the hardest of the hardcore and the $ony console or no console crowd.

The PS3 has not been able to break past that because it just hasnt had any chance to pass the 360 in price nor quantity of quality titles and it hasnt been able to pass the Wii for the casual audience.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
