What money has been lost in the past doesn't matter much for investors and the company if the products are currently profitable.
If there's no net profit in the end that may potentially affect how much expense is put into future productions, but other than that the company will just keep happily posting their quarterly profits and investors won't bother with the past (especially when Microsoft as a whole makes billions every quarter).
