May I kindly submit it has more to do with not wanting to kill/be killed? Just a theory, mind. vlad321 said:
Also as for VR, do you really think that people will actually makes us do physical activity of any sort just to play a game? If anything it will be just like the Matrix, where our physical bodies just don't do crap and the rest is in the head. Basically think it and you aim in that direction automatically, think it and you shoot. It'd be even more like today's FPSes since the most important part is to actually give your thumbs the instruction to move, with this that lag would be gone. Quite a few games argue otherwise. Lots of people enjoying moving around. DanceDance Revolution, Wii Fit, Police 911, Wii Sports...these games and more encourage the player to move around, and they're quite well liked. The distant, distant future, however, may more closely resemble what you're aiming at, although I'm not certain just how feasible that is, biologically and technologically speaking. |
Well it seems you want reality so why not just go and do that then? As for games that encourage people to move physically, how many of those same people would actually want to go and play games where they shoot god knows what?
