IR is better FPS control than Mouse & Keyboard

KB + mouse > Wiimote, otherwise I must pretty much agree. Oh, and I'm pretty much a PC gamer myself. IR just takes more skill, and skill should be what matters (not your reaction time or your experience with keyboard and mouse or anything like that).

Well, IR must allow good accuracy as well - otherwise there's even less skill involved.

Oh, and in case you were going to tell me gaming is supposed to be fun and not supposed to require skill - well, you can always have an auto-aim system console shooters too often have. And don't you dare call it aim assist - it's still auto-aim, though not a strong one.
