There is no added value for MS whatsoever in buying F5. I hate it that everyone in gamingland thinks that MS can just buy anything they want. That's complete BS. Gaming is not their core business, so corporate take-overs in that area are hard to justify to the shareholders.
For Nintendo that's a whole different story though, cause F5 basically functioned partly as a 2nd party for a while, developing middleware for Nintendo's consoles. Especially if they DO have Kid Icarus in development I think it's a big chance Nintendo will help them out.
