Will PS3 eventually pass 360?

 in case u have forgotten MS lost this gen is around 3-4 billion dollars. and this number doesn't include how much $ they lost on the original xbox which they lost $175 for each console sold. earlier this gen around launch MS was losing about $150 for each console, sony was losing around $200 at the same time. and with the hardware modifications to ps3, sony is no longer losing money since july. But probability gaining just now $ now for the ps3 since blu ray players prices dropped from $300 to $200 and they taking advantage of it to make some $.

im pretty sure MS is losing $ off the acrade sales which are currently the model that sells the most. considering the fact nintendo only makes $6 dollars off each wii sold, and its a lot smaller, with cheaper graphic cards, and a outdated processor, MS has to be losing money off the acrade in a desperate attempt to hold 2nd.

but your right, if ps3 doesnt do some serious damage before 2010, it could be too late

 

I don't know where you are getting your numbers from, but according to the only reliable source (MS) they are about even, and according to the only reliable source on SCE (Sony) they are in the hole big-time.

Secondly, it's already been disproven that the 360 graphics card is inferior... I have to eat crow on this one, because I used to say the same thing.  I was wrong, I admitted it, and so should you.  The real difference in price between a PS3 & 360 is the Blu-ray drive... and Sony is obviously stuck with it.

Next, it was actually just shown that MS doesn't lose money on the Arcade.  And I'm not even talking about the cost of the console to make (which is really cheap BTW) but the fact that MS makes loads of money on XBOX LIVE and significantly higher software sales per console.  MS hasn't been swimming in cash when it comes to the XBOX product line, but they are much better off this generation than last.

Lastly, you are right on Sony needing to do something soon.  But outside of selling the PS3 as a loss leader, I just don't see how they can do it.  I'm a long-time Sony fan, so I'd love to see them make a comeback, I just don't see how it's possible this generation.

All Sony can do is learn from their mistake, and try again next generation.  Bigger is not always better, and this generation's Wii phenomenon is proof of that.  Innovation is still king in the video game world.
