Just for the record I never really commented on the similarities, I only said LBP was casual.
Anyways, @Leo,
Back during the 4th of July I was showing my folks the trailers for a bunch of games, mostly Wii just to gauge the non-gamer reaction to them. But LBP was one I felt they would like and sure enough they thought it looked like a lot of fun. Does that automatically make it casual by virtue of the fact that "less than casual" gamers liked it?
I personally think to be considered hardcore a game it would need to at least have a storyline or background info. Granted there are other things to being hardcore than just story but I can't think of any games I would consider hardcore that don't have a story....
