Maro and Zelda should go there's been in excess of what ...... 20-30 mario titles over the past 3 generations ?
I think Nintendo should create new posterboys and make original content for them instead , everyone praises them about how innovative they are ; it shoudln't be an issue.
Ofcourse Nintendo will probably never leave Mario until A. Everyone looses interest in Mario B. Another Ninty character unintentionaly becomes more popular than him. They've invested millions in the Mario name advertising , promting it so it would be a pretty big waste of cash&time to push him to the side.
What they should do is introduce a new posterboy alongside mario but unrelated to mario.
