If they parelleled each other in terms of the games sold then I would say that they are competing directly for the same customers. There is overlap but there are segments which are completely not interesting in the PS/360 and there are segments which are not interested in the Wii and the game sales indicate that.
They are competing in the video games market, theres no doubt there. Its really a question of how much they are competing really. The interesting point is the fact that in terms of the people who visit this site, the PS/360 take the majority of like minded individuals and perhaps this is the source of the complaints about the Wiis 3rd party library.
