| Groucho said: HD consoles and the Wii don't tend to share games. Heck they hardly share genres. This is why the comparison is rarely brought up. Single HD console owners are interested in their console "winning" because it means more gaming support for their console. They could care less how the Wii is doing, because its not really competition at this point. The Wii is leaping forward into new territory, which not all gamers are really interested in. Thus, the comparison, between it, and the HD consoles, has no meaning, in some circumstances. Would a comparison between the Wii and the VSmile be meaningful? On some fronts... yes. On most fronts... nope. |
No.
The arguments about who outsold who by 10k or whatever are purely ego boosters and have nothing to do with subconscious impressions of console libraries. That may be a nice thought but it's far from the truth. The PS3 and 360 are already so similar in functionality and game libraries that who pushes who to last place isn't going to matter because they'll still be getting the same games that they were in 2nd or 3rd place. At this point the only thing that's going to affect that are 1st/2nd party games and bought exclusives. It's an arbitrary war and everyone knows it.
And besides...Monster Hunter 3. That's all that really needs to be said on that subject.
