Well I really hope someone throws in the towel next gen (won't happen though, so I'm not fooling myself with petty thoughts). One can only dream of such concepts (like world peace & eliminating poverty).
HD will be the standard next gen, and of course, motion controls.
I for one wouldn't want to play COD with motion controls. I prefer shooters to stick to the old concept. Besides, I love my Wii, but it makes my arms tired after awhile. I gotta give my thumbs some excercise too!

Have you even played a shooter on the Wii before? I don't think so, because if you have your arms wouldn't be tired. Almost all the action is done with small wrist movements, much like using a mouse. If anything, I find that my arms are more relaxed since I can put them at my side rather than having to hold the controller in front of me.

I always find it funny that the hardcore gamers always get tired easily when they use the Wiimote.

Hey lay off me. I am a "hardcore" gamer, but I'm a "hardcore" gamer who plays Wii too. I just have a preference on different controls for different games. For driving games, I like a stearing wheel (the xbox wheel for forza) and the virtual wheel (the wii-mote) for MarioKart Wii. I love bowling with the Wii-mote as well... how dull would it be to use analog sticks for that? And for a shooter, I like my analog sticks on my PS3 and X360.
But that's why I own all 3 consoles. I'm no fanboy. I like what I like, and I bought all 3 consoles so I could have the best of all 3 worlds.
It's just preferences is all. And my comment about tired arms and excercising my thumbs was a joke anyway. Besides, my Wii is as close to excercise as I'll ever do anyway! ;)
