M$ needs to stop rubbing it in...yeah, they are going to beat the pants off sony this holiday season, but this is like pro sports and excessive celebration, when you're still losing the game...last I check, Wii is blowing both of them outta the water, and considering that the arcade is $50 cheaper than the Wii, they need to focus on expanding hte customer base.  Sony's ps3 was DOA to this generation to begin with, so the key is to focus on xbox next, and following the nintendo model, where upgrading doesn't alienate the previous gen...ala...GBA to DS or Gameboy to Wii.

"With Black Friday gone, it's time for companies to claim victory over their rivals and it looks like Microsoft is first up to bat. Microsoft is claiming a 3-to-1 victory over Sony's PlayStation 3.

While the Nintendo almost certainly won the day, a difference of 3-to-1 between the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, if true, does not bode well for Sony.

Microsoft is also reporting a 25% increase in sales over last year's Black Friday, which is a decent performance in a struggling economy.

I'm going to chalk this up to the game bundles and $199 entry price point for the Xbox 360. Sure, the Xbox 360 Arcade doesn't come as many features as the PlayStation 3, but it's half the price. It's even cheaper than the Wii!

It'll be interesting to see if the November software sales backup these hardware numbers.

Did you get a new console on Black Friday? If so, which one and why?"
