Interesting, reading their analysis makes me continue to doubt analyst even more. I mean what are they doing to come up with their assessments? I've seen better analyst by the posters on this an many other forums. Well, I do have to give Mike Wolf credit. He seems to have done the best analysis IMO. Pachter and Cole need to go back to the drawing board. Cole's thought that Sony can continue to ride the PS2 until the PS3 takes off is flawed. If the PS3 isn't taking off that makes developers more likely to support 360 and Wii. Developers heavily supporting PS2 would have an easier time porting PS2 projects to Wii for additional revenue. You can see that ocurring right now with games like Scarface, Prince of Persia, and the Godfather. HD projects would be done with the 360 in mind because of its much larger userbase. Those titles could be ported over to PS3 but it would basically make the PS3 the Gamecube or X-box of this generation. The system that gets inferior multiplatform ports and has the least exclusives. As for Pachter, PS3 games looking better in 2009 would be too late to matter. By then the winner of this Generation will be all but decided. I think PS3 games will start to look better sooner i.e. this year. The problem is the best looking PS3 titles are going to be hard pressed to match the best looking 360 titles. With the PS3 commanding a premium over its competitors, it needs something gaming related to justify the price difference.
