The type of people that would actually bother pre-ordering a film are more likely to be film enthusiasts and thus they're most likely to be early adopters. Hence the higher percentage of BR pre-orders. Overall sales for the DVD will still dwarf the BR release though.
I wouldn't be surprised if TDK opened to like 8 - 10 million dvd sales week 1 in america alone.
