Even with the idea of sixasix existing before hand, it was announced until after the wiimote was announced, and it went the way of the virtual console. I honestly think if microsoft makes a solid profit this generation and actually puts their whole gaming division in the green, they will stick with a controller. I honestly don't see how sony is going go back in the green, at this point. Especially if the price drop in march is true. |
I think Sony may need to trim some talent...shed some weight...but they will eventually be profitable in gaming again. They may be profitable this quarter due to ps3 price still being 399. I am more worried about their business model. Being a hardware company and releasing new hardware with bundled technology to make profit seems outdated at this point.
Nintendo on the other hand has lots of money now...i really wonder how they will use it in the future. DS will soon need a real replacement...Wii HD is a possibility. Or they could do something else completely off the wall. Exciting...
