This year:

  1. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3): Yep, I really enjoyed the game. It had its drawbacks though, mainly related to the story (that was still good).
  2. Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI (PC): I like the strategy, but I don't have to manage everything myself thanks to the district system where I can leave districts to be controlled by the AI. Oh, and the Three Kingdoms theme is very interesting no matter how little of it is actually told in the game.
  3. Dynasty Warriors 6 (PS3): See, I've not got very many games this year. I've been playing this one pretty much even though it's mostly the same as its predecessors. Still, gameplay-wise it's probably the best game in the series. Storyline-wise it's a bit ankward, though, although they tried something new. Dynasty Warriors 6 may not be the best game out there but I've enjoyed it.

Other years:

  • Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3): Yep, I just got the game this year (as I did the PS3). It was pretty fine in every aspect and it also had the nice atmosphere and overall feeling. I think I've enjoyed Uncharted more than most games in years.
  • Runner-up: Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars (PC): I just like this game. The gameplay is excellent. Sadly I wasn't able to play this very much in the summer as my PC broke... But now I can.

I could probably include a handheld game as well but it wouldn't probably be very fair as I got my first handheld ever, the PSP, only very recently, and my only game so far is Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, which I haven't actually played very much ye, and, winning without competition is nothing.
