No way in hell they'll drop SCE, it has been too successfull in the past to just drop after two years. And PSP is doing fine. It would be very ironical if Sony were the one to cut its console business to go handheld only. Not that I expect that btw. But first party software support could be dwindling fast, as already seen by the scrapping of Eight Days and The Getaway 3. |
Maybe they'd sell their games division. It's not unusal for a company to "spin" off a division in hard times
EA or Acti-Blizzard could be interested in it if the chance arose. Maybe even an oddball like Toshiba or IBM, both Cell partners.
Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.
