@jhon: That means there's no excuse for the Wii performing worse if one of their competitors are seeing a very healthy increase. If 360 sales are up, so can the Wii sales. It's just a matter of SW really.

So can you explain the PS3 situation too??

You're comparing last year's Winning Eleven launch week to the week prior to Winning Eleven release this year.

sure but it's unlikely that ps3 gets to 55k next week.

Of course, but it makes more sense to compare those weeks than the ones he was comparing. Software releases are far more important than which week of the year was closest.

Anyway, Media Create numbers for this week last year were:

Software

02./00. [PS2] World Soccer Winning Eleven 2008 (Konami) - 293,926 / NEW
03./00. [PS3] World Soccer Winning Eleven 2008 (Konami) - 141,432 / NEW

Hardware

機種 販売台数
DSL 116,694
PSP 75,027
Wii 54,362
PS3 50,564
PS2 14,875
Xbox360 7,117
GC 44
GBM 42
GBASP 31
GBA 9

And this time the ps2 version of PES has been delayed.  It won't hit until early 2009.
