Talking about prices is pretty related to sales I'd say.

But talking about whether or not Sony will make a profit is not.

Lets see...  bad sales leads to "But a price drop!"  but a price drop leads too "They're going to be losing too much money for that."

It's still talking abou future sales via the likelyhood of a pricedrop.

Off topic would be more like if someone said "Who cares it still has better games."  Since it having better games obviously would have nothing to do with it selling poorly.
