I think its interesting too look at current trends and find out which games are going to take off during the holidays for Wii. Without any dominant releases aside from AC City Folk, there isn't much else to take off. Now of course, games like Wii Fit, Wii Play, and MK Wii will suck sales potential out of the rest but still something other than those will have to take off.

Judging by what I'm seeing Shaun White Snowboarding might be one of those titles. Although no sales yet in America, I think it'll show something similar to E/O where it may not start off amazing but will take off in Black Friday. Another title, although no sales, is Sonic Unleashed. I think this will start off pretty strong and consistently do well.

I think those 2 have the potential to be pretty big sellers on Wii during the holidays. Possibly getting to the 750k-1.00 million range by the end of the year. Other titles to watch out for are MySims Kingdom, ToS 2 in America, Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, High School Musical 3, and Star Wars Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duals.

And of course some titles that have already released a long time ago have chances of getting beefed but I'm speaking of purely titles now. Seems like Ubisoft will do well with its releases on Wii this holiday season. Skate It also has a decent shot as being tied to the balance board is never a bad thing.

By the end of the year though I'm fairly certain that these titles will have all gone platinum:

Deca Sports
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Ben 10: Protector of Earth
We Ski
Naruto: Clash of the Ninja Revolution
Animal Crossing: City Folk
Wii Music
Guitar Hero: World Tour
The Simpsons Game

That will put it at least 38 platinum sellers by the end of the year. Although if Cooking Mama, Super Monkey Ball: Bannana Blitz, Tiger Woods 08, and DDR: Hottest Party had complete data then it would be 42. Now aside from those up top there are some other titles that have a gut shot chance at being platinum by the end of the year such as Sonic Unleashed, Shaun White Snowboarding, Rock Band 1, and Big Beach Sports but more than likely they'll make it in early 2009.

So despite all the claims of 3rd party's not going to get their chance this year it seems like they will dominate the new entries of platinum Wii games of course its being won by default haha.
