Agree with GT5.  Imagine if they pushed a bland, but expanded, GT5 at launch and made GT6 the iconic "full hd" experience with all the bells and whistles.  Shoulda, coulda, woulda.

They're too busy doing 240 fps 2160p tech demos of GT5 to finish the game. What ever happened to Japanese efficiency?

An early GT5 could have been a big bonus for the PS3 in Europe. Perhaps it can still be, but by the time it comes it will probably be too late.

I think Sony targetted their games for 2008/2009/2010 because I think they always assumed they would clean up 2007/2008 and the big games coming out would be the finishing blow rather than a forlorn hope at salvation.

Killzone 2 -> 2 Gears games in about the same time-frame, Two Call of Duty games and one and a half Halo games. Whilst it may even be a fantastic game, even better than Gears its coming too late to effect much change on the shooter market.

GT5 -> When exactly will this release? Late 2009, Early 2010? By the time it comes out there would have been a tonne of racer releases anyway and your hardcore racer fans may have been drawn off by other games in the meantime.

GT5 is targeted for late 09 I believe.  It was delayed AGAIN by them focusing on adding car damage and aquiring the proper liscensing.  I mean... its definately a step in the right directin for the game but They are still wasting valuable time.  When it comes down to it, people would rather play multiple fantastic games in the same series with average graphics than wait 3+ years for 1 grahpically amazing game and then wait 3 more years for a 2nd release.  They have the right idea, just a piss poor timeline.
