I say PS3 is going to put a massive dent in the 360's lead next year. Killzone 2 and God of War will provide ~2-3 week boosts, FFXIII will give a massive boost in Japan, and Gran Turismo will give a huge leg-up to PS3 sales around the world. Perhaps for the first time in history, the PS3 clearly has a better lineup than the 360 for a year. Not to mention the price cut... well, take a look at this thread. Microsoft's got this holiday season, maybe even the whole of 2008, but I say the PS3 will win 2009 for sure. |
Sorry bud but your living in dream land if you think Killzone 2 will spark PS3 sales to compete with the 360. Im sick and tired of PS3 fanboys saying this stuff. For the past 2 years they have been saying "wait till xyz comes out". I have yet yo hear one Nintendo or Microsoft fanboy use that line. 2008 had a major MAJOR big name line up for the PS3. Games such as Grand Theft Auto 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance 2, LittleBigplanet, Gran Turismo:Pro Logue, Call of Duty World At War etc.. etc... you really, REALLY think little old Killzone 2 will help to shift more games then all those titles? You think a game that was even ignored in Sony's press release at E308 will spark that trend? A game thats orgional was widely panned that sold only 32k in its 1st week with 120m consoles to sell to will spark those sales?! Sorry but again can i please have some of what your toking because it must be really good shit to believe that it will happen!
As for the best line-up thing that is your opinion. The 360 has a lot of first time titles coming next year, ones you probably never heard of such as Venetica, Precursors, Dungeon Hero, White Gold, Cry On, Warhound, Theseis, Dead Island, Velvet Assasin etc.. etc.. mixed in with ones you may have heard of such as Huxley, Alan Wake, APB, Knightblade, The Protector, Shadow Harvest, Ninja Blade etc.. Those are all new IP's, all exclusive to 360 and all planned to be out next year. Mix that in with the supposed 20-30 games that have yet to be announced, with the sequels to games such as Mass Effect, to spin off games like Recon and Halo Wars, with the multi-platform games means for 2009 Microsoft have a very unique line-up that in my view show what this gen is all about. New titles that define this generation. Not living off previous generations 50th sequel. The last 2 Games of The year (Gears 2006,Bioshock 2007) were all new games and all exclusive to 360. So i think your very foolish if you think the 360's line-up next year is "weak".
