Not that it matters, does any one care what Ford did with the model T with Toyota kicking the crap out of everyone now.

First of, there is no real inovation in life, one thing is build on another. Even Picasso who is seen as a great inovator of art sayed himself that all his life he just copyed other peoples ideas and just changed the around a little, thats how you play the game.

What matters about your comment above is that it´s limited to a relative view, did anybody care about japanese machines when Ford used the first conveyor belt in history to build the model T ??? No, the japanese knew that, thats why they send people all over the world to check out new technology, they wouldn´t have defeated russia without stealing (or copying, same thing) the best tech from all over the world and they wouldn´t be building good cars now eather.

Now in 500-1000 years when cars have long become outdated, will people remember Toyota who sold a hole lot of cars, or the Model T which was the first vehicle to be built on a conveyor belt thus starting a new revolution in industrialized production ???

Nintendo didn´t invent motions, but they are the first to go all in on this idea and show a huge market of people their vision, it doesn´t matter who does it first, it matters who does it right first, Ford will always be remembered as the ones who revoutionized machine production and Nintendo will be remembered for revolutionizing motion gameplay (and many other stuff). Everything else will change in time anyway.
