When you do things like this, it is to generate traffic on your network and make people aware of your services while doing a good deed.

Microsoft has, no doubt, set a cap on how much they would contribute. For hypothetical situations, let's say it's 10 million dollars. Once it hits 10 million dollars, they will make a huge announcement about how so many people have done blah blah blah blah and would thank all the patrons who made this possible blah blah blah and then the promotion would end.
