This is great news for present and future Blu-Ray owners. 'Tis a shame that the extended version aren't coming with the package (Fellowship and Towers extensions are fantastic, somewhat lackluster for King imo), but still, a great series is a great series.
Hopefully Blu-Ray players will be at a more affordable price by the time LotR comes out. It may just push me over the edge. 
Oh, and my favorites go in the order of Fellowship, Towers, and then King. All are great though.
