Things I hate about Sony by a PS Fanboy

At the moment Blu-Ray looks like a big mistake to a lot of people. But in a year from know everyone will be glad they did it. This winter Disney is goign to be pushing Blu-ray like their is no tommorow, and Sony will have Spiderman 3 coming. Once people start to buy Blu-ray and Sony brings in the money from that it give them a chance to drop the PS3 more. Not only does Blu-ray give them the advantage of another source of income, it also gives them the room to make epic games. I know eveyone try's to call anyone an idiot that says Blu-ray is good for gaming, but the fact is, it is. 1080p Mpegs take a lot of space, and as a lot of devs are starting to find out, if you capture a real time cut scence in Mpeg and play it back that way you can load in the background. This will give the PS3 a more seamless gameplay exeriance then the Wii or the 360.

People talking about PS2's Life Span

The PS2 will have a ten year life span. It doen't end when the PS3 came out, it ends when Sony stops producing them. Which unless Sony has to kill it to get people to shift to PS3 I feel it could go on longer than 10 years. This winter it will go down to 99.99 and Sony is bringing some good titles to it, plus their is a company that is bringing out games that willl compete with Wii sports. I have a feeling that if all plays out right the PS2 could take another victum in its life. It has already owned the 360 and will probably sell more units from nov 2005 to its death than the 360 will in its lfe span. If publishers can prove you can get the same experance on the PS2 as the Wii (which would also mean the PS3) and for less money it could hurt the Wiin this winter. As I have said in my market percentage thread, this will be the most interesting consol this winter.

DS a fad = true

The DS is really nothing special. The only reason it has killed the PSP is becasue Sony rolled over and died on that system. With the new model coming out and I cross my fingers, a download service to back it, their is a chance Sony could swing the momentum around. With games like FF and GoW coming the PSP is looking strong, and if we could onl;y get GT added to that list we could be looking at a PSP resurgance next year.

Why the PS3 will when

Even with its early faultering and the poor marketing and great success of Wii the PS3 just has to much potintal to loose. In the end it will just offer the consumer to much. Mr. Stringer has put Sony on the shoulders of the PS3 and Sony will do whatever it takes to when this thing. Don't expect the price to stay were it is for long. Blu-ray as mentioned before is going to bring in a lot of money and it will help Sony be able to continue to loose on hardware if need be. I feel that Home is going to become the next big thing, and Sony will be rakeing in the money from people with that. I would expect the PS3 to have a redisign by sept 09 and the price should be down to 249.99. At the end of the day Sony has woke back up, the real world has came back, and smacked them in the face. When Sony is awake, inspired, and passonate they truley are
